May 31st 2006WAC Track work out a huge success
The WAC had one of its largest showings for a track work out in years. The swelling numbers hit 3 and ? runners (? runner being Olivia Mae Olbrias, who was pushed by her father). Team members included Warren Church, Jeremiah Macht, Charlie Olbrias and earlier mentioned Olivia Mae Olbrias.
All runners had great workouts, pushing themselves harder than predicted. This was in large part due to the team workout. Charlie was quoted as saying ?It is so much easer to do a track workout with other people pushing you?. Olivia was in full agreement.
The WAC holds weekly am track workouts on Wednesdays at the Windham Middle School. If anyone is interested in participating can contact Charlie (456-4451) or just show up at the track. Hope to see you on the track.

May 26st 200623rd NipMuck Trail Marathon Sunday May 28th 2006
The first official sign of summer is here. NO I?m not talking about Memorial Day weekend, I?m talking about the NipMuck Trail Marathon in Ashford CT (Sponsored by the Willimantic Athletic Club). Our own NipMuck Dave ?Dave Raczkowski, as he is know by day? is at it again. Sunday May 28th at precisely 8am NipMuck Dave will say the word and the 23rd running of the NipMuck Trail Marathon will commence. Although Dave won?t be racing in this year?s NipMuck Trail Marathon, he will have something up his sleeve for the pre-race talk that is sure to make us all laugh. This also means Dave will have more time to scheme up some crazy them for his beloved port-o-potty. Hummmmm wonder what it will be this year. Well any way, best wishes to those crazy ?oops? I mean brave runners who choose to take on this life-changing event. Go get em Dave!!!!
